If you are a seasoned presenter, you should know that the good presentation is the one where the audience can leave their comments and ask questions in the most convenient way. Some people are shy and it may be really stressful for them to stand up in front of the whole room to ask a question. So giving them a chance to leave their questions in private may be a good thing. Google Slides provides you with such feature. It has been implemented with one of the last releases in April 2016.
If you make a presentation within your own organization, the users in your domain are allowed to leave a comment or a question by default. However, you can give specific permissions for external guests as well.
How to set up a QnA session in Google Slides
To allow your audience to leave that questions during your presentation follow the step-by-step guide below.
- Open your presentation in Google Slides, in the top right corner click on the drop-down menu and select “Presenter view”.
- In the pop-up window and the start menu session.
- You will see the link that you can share with your audience so that they would be able to forward their questions to you. If any of them leaves a question you will see it immediately in the same window.
You can allow other people to see these questions by clicking on that “Present” button. You can also vote on these questions.
Automatic backup google drive
If you prepare a presentation together with somebody else you should give these people specific permissions to edit your Google Slides. It is quite convenient in terms of collaboration, but it may be dangerous for your data that these people can accidentally or on purpose delete the information from your slides, and you will lose your data.
In order to enhance your Google Slides security you should back up your Google Docs with third-party applications. Upsafe Google Apps backup allows you to do this automatically. You can backup all your Google Documents to another cloud. If you have a reserve copy of your files you will always be able to restore them, no matter what happens to them. Just sign up using your corporate Google Apps account and enjoy the enhanced security of your Google Slides.
