Tip #1. Quick links
When you want to change any settings or switch on any plugins for your Gmail account, you always have to pass through the same long and time-consuming procedure. Go to settings, switch to the necessary tab, search for the things that you need and so on. Luckily there is a plug-in in Gmail that allows you to do all these things much faster, it’s quick links.
To activate this plugin go to settings, switch to the Labs tab and type “quick links” into the search field. Enable this plugin for your Gmail account.
When you save the changes the plug-in may not be activated automatically. To switch it on, click to the dots button in the bottom of the left column of your Gmail account.
When you do this you will be offered to add the 1st quick link, it would be the page where you are currently located, the Gmail inbox. You can add the quick links for other pages in the very same way. Just go to the page, or folder, or email that you need and click “add quick link” on the left.
When you do not need that quick link anymore, you can simply delete it by clicking on the cross button on the right of that link.
Tip #2. Quick calendar.
When you work in tomorrow you sometimes need to have quick access to your Google calendar events so it’s nice not to miss them but there is another plug-in that will blow you to have quick access to your Google calendar events.
Go again to Settings – Labs and search for calendar. Enable this plug-in and save changes.
Now if you go to your inbox you will see your calendar events on your left. Moreover, you will see not only the nearest events, but the ones that will happen in several months. Just scroll down to find them.
If you click on the options you can also display that mini calendar, which can also be useful.
